COVID-19 Health Protocols for In-Person Attendees

The MESC Planning Committee has determined that in-person attendees at MESC 2021 will not be required to show proof of vaccination.
The following is the basis for this decision:

  1. The MESC Planning Committee has consistently followed guidance from the CDC, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the City of Boston to determine our decisions related to the conference. As of May 29, Massachusetts has lifted all COVID-19 restrictions, with mask requirements remaining in place only in certain spaces such as public transportation, healthcare facilities and in settings hosting vulnerable populations.
  2. The City of Boston has aligned with the state’s reopening plan. There are no capacity limits for businesses and all gathering limits have been rescinded.
  3. The Hynes Convention Center, the site of MESC 2021, will follow Massachusetts policy regarding cleaning and sanitizing.

Current guidance from the CDC and the City of Boston can be accessed through the links below:

We are encouraging attendees who are not fully vaccinated to continue to wear masks or face coverings. Additionally, our virtual event registration will open on June 18th for individuals who are unable to attend in person.
